I ordered a coupling from Amazon.com to attach the trailer to my bicycle, it was pretty easy to set up. Today we decided to take the trailer out for it's debut on the Burke Gilman trail here in Seattle. Parker was pretty pumped up about his new ride. He crawled into it on his own and was pretty upset when mom briefly removed him from the trailer only to give it a little cleaning job before strapping him in.

Everyone has to wear a helmet, it's the law! We brought Parker to REI yesterday and got him a sweet toddler helmet, it fits him perfectly. We're ready to roll. Our plan is to ride to the Burke Gilman trail, only about a half mile from our house and then ride north until we reach the Metropolitan market, it's about 5 miles. We didn't have any trouble with the trailer, Parker really enjoyed the ride. Once we reached the grocery store, we pulled up to a park area with a picnic table and we had lunch. We figured he would fall asleep on the way back home.

And he certainly did! It was a great 10 mile ride. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for finding this trailer for us. It's super cool and we really had a great time today.
